Technology Entrepreneur and Digital Pioneer
Mark’s career spans roles as a technology startup founder, executive-level director, full-stack developer, designer and programmer. He has founded and sold multiple technology companies and has successfully licensed software he personally designed and developed.
As a technology leader, he has mentored dozens of professionals and guided the development of hundreds of technology initiatives for some of the world’s most recognized brands. Beyond software engineering, he brings more than five years of dedicated cybersecurity experience focused on safeguarding digital assets. He also oversees web-based platforms that have securely processed more than $50 million in online donations to date. His firm Political Technology was the standard bearer for digital initiatives in the political sphere from 2002 until the company was acquired in 2015.
He is recognized as the creator of one of the earliest digitally produced comic strips, Chester the Lobster in 1988 at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He was featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the architect behind the first commercial website for the city of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Dash in 1996. In 2012, he developed and launched one of the first website creation tools, Campaign Quick. Throughout his career, Mark has received numerous awards and honors recognizing his contributions as a technologist, artist and citizen.
